Wand of Orcus

The design math here is more vicious than the equip cost suggests. Deathtouch on the attack turns combat damage into an all-or-nothing threat: block, and you trade your creature; don't block, and the second trigger converts unblocked damage into a body count of 2/2 Zombies. A single connection off a modest creature snowballs into an army, and every one of those new Zombies also carries deathtouch on your next swing, so the board you build defends itself and pressures theirs simultaneously. That feedback loop is the whole point. The token trigger scales with power, so the Wand rewards stacking damage onto one equipped body rather than spreading it thin, and the deathtouch clause deliberately extends past the wearer to all Zombies you control, tying the equipment to the tribe rather than to a single carrier. What keeps it from being simply a bigger threat is that both triggers require combat to resolve: it does nothing on the stack, nothing at instant speed, nothing until a creature is actually swinging or standing in the way. The flavor tracks the mechanics closely, too. Orcus is the demon prince of undeath in Dungeons & Dragons lore, and his artifact mace raises the slain as it kills, which is exactly what the second ability models: the dead you deal become the dead you command.
