Wakandan Tusker

Creature — Elephant1 generic manaGreen or White mana

Most creatures that pay off on offense make you gamble: attack, expose the body, hope the value outweighs the risk. This Elephant sidesteps that math entirely by keying off tapping rather than attacking, which quietly opens the trigger to every other reason a creature ends up sideways. Convoke, crew, and tap-for-mana abilities all become deposits into the same slow account of life and card selection. The scry is the sharper half of the reward: gaining one life barely moves the game, but sifting the top card each time the body taps compounds through a long grind, smoothing draws in precisely the incremental colors that thrive on it. A 2/3 for two holds the ground while you assemble those tap outlets, so the body earns its keep before the engine even switches on. The deck this rewards is one stuffed with mana abilities that use the creature, artifacts and Vehicles hungry for crew, and spells that lean on convoke, rather than one that simply swings and prays. The lifegain stays deliberately tiny so the accumulation never spirals out of a single body; the payoff accrues one scry and one life at a time, contingent only on your ability to keep finding fresh reasons to turn the creature.
