Vraska the Unseen
Most Planeswalkers protect themselves by killing the attacker before it lands; this one waits for the blow before answering it. The +1 is a deterrent disguised as forbearance: it does nothing to stop the first hit, but anything that connects dies on the way through, which turns Vraska's loyalty into bait an opponent has to think twice about spending. Punishing the attack rather than preventing it is what separates her plus from the standard fog-the-board fare of the era. The -3 is the workhorse, a clean answer to any nonland permanent that keeps her relevant regardless of what the board looks like. The ultimate is where her color identity shows: the Assassin tokens do not win by dealing lethal damage but by triggering a loss-of-game clause when they connect with a player. That trigger uses the stack, so the opponent has a window to respond before the loss resolves, but the practical reality is brutal: three separate one-power bodies, each of which ends the game on contact, force chump-blocking turn after turn, a tax most boards cannot pay indefinitely. The whole package reads as Golgari assassin made literal: passive cruelty on the plus, surgical removal in the middle, and a finisher that does not bother racing for twenty when it can simply declare the loss instead.
