The mana ability is a feedback loop wired into a body that begins at zero power, which means it produces nothing the first time it arrives and everything thereafter. Output scales with power, and power climbs only when you cast noncreature spells, so the engine and its fuel are the same resource. Every noncreature spell adds a counter and burns each opponent for one on cast, tying the ramp and the reach to a single dial: the more spells you throw, the more mana the next activation returns and the faster the table drains. A mana creature usually wants to keep its head down and survive; this one demands you keep spending, because idling is the one way to starve it. The activation cost with its once-per-turn, your-turn-only restriction is the sole governor. Since the ability never taps, that hard cap is the only limiter: one activation per turn, never during an opponent's turn, so it cannot be spooled into a reactive window or looped twice inside a single sequence. The design converts a spell-dense turn into a burst of colored mana for whatever payoff waits at the end, a ritual engine that grows its own supply. The 0/3 frame carries the bargain honestly: sturdy enough to survive and accumulate counters, but worthless as an attacker until the noncreature spells have raised its power for it.
