A wall that pays you for cooperation. Teamwork asks two players to jointly fund a spell, and most cards built around the mechanic reward whichever player casts it in the moment; this one attaches that reward to a permanent, so every teamwork spell you cast off the battlefield presence spins off a flyer while the body never swings. The trigger keys off your own casting, not the table's: it rewards you for being the player who initiates the shared spell, which nudges you toward hoarding the good teamwork cards in hand rather than passively benefiting from a cooperative pod. Defender is the pivot. It locks the card into a supporting role, trading the ability to attack for a rate (two mana, a 3/3) that would be pushed on a creature meant to press damage, and the 1/1 Robot Heroes it manufactures give a defensively-postured artifact deck the evasive board it otherwise lacks: the wall holds the ground, the tokens win the air. It is a designed-for-multiplayer piece in the truest sense, inert on its own and steadily generative only when you commit to casting the shared spells teamwork is built to encourage.
