Vineshaper Mystic

Counter-tribal Merfolk lived and died on its ability to convert a wide board into a fast clock, and this is the card that does the converting in two places at once. Most anthem effects scale with how many bodies survive to see them; this one front-loads the growth onto specific targets the moment it lands, distributing two permanent counters across up to two of your Merfolk regardless of who else is on the board. That makes it a builder rather than a multiplier: it does not pump a fragile swarm into a single sweeper risk, it picks two creatures and makes them individually harder to answer, so long as those creatures stay put (counters vanish the instant a body is bounced or destroyed, which turns each Mystic into an argument for protecting the threats you have grown, not for overextending into removal). The 1/3 body earns more than its stats suggest, surviving the small ground stalls these decks fall into and chump-blocking while the real threats climb. Stack it with the lord-style anthems the tribe relies on and the arithmetic reads cleanly: counters persist while the creature lives, anthems are conditional, and a creature carrying both reaches sizes that outrun symmetrical removal math. It is the unflashy connective tissue of an aggressive tribal shell, built less to win a game itself than to make sure the threats already on the board cross the finish line first.
