Defender as an offense engine, not a deterrent. Walls usually pay for their stalling by promising to do nothing on attack; this Elemental inverts the deal, turning the very keyword that pins it behind the front line into a damage multiplier. Each additional creature you control with the Defender keyword scales the activated ability, so the card rewards the one thing other defensive shells already want to do anyway: stack up bodies that refuse to attack. The result is a clock that fires from behind a fortress, deals damage straight to a player or planeswalker (sidestepping blockers entirely), and grows with every Wall, fellow Sentinel, or other defender that joins the board. What makes the design sharp is that it asks you to lean all the way into a keyword built for passivity and then cash that passivity out as reach. The activation keeps it a repeatable pinger rather than a single big burst, and the 2/4 body survives the early aggression a defensive deck is trying to outlast. Most decks built around the keyword run it as insurance, surviving long enough to win some other way; this one closes the loop, making the defenders themselves the win condition. That answers the oldest complaint about the archetype: that all those toughness points never convert into a kill.
