Vampiric Sliver
The cleanest grindmaster in the tribe. Where most Sliver lords hand the team a keyword or a flat stat boost, this one rewrites how combat math compounds: it grants every Sliver the old Sengir Vampire clause, so any Sliver that kills a creature in combat walks away a little bigger. The counter lands on the Sliver that dealt the damage, not on this body specifically, which means the engine scales with how many creatures are swinging and trading rather than concentrating the reward on a single attacker. Itself included: as a Sliver, it grants the ability to itself, so a 3/3 that gets through a blocker or trades favorably grows on its own without leaning on its teammates. Stack a few copies or chain damage across multiple blockers and a single combat step can balloon the whole swarm, since each lethal hit feeds a counter onto its source. The result is an aggression engine that punishes profitable blocks and chump blocks alike, turning attrition into acceleration in a way that rewards going wide. The design tension is real, though: the payoff lives in the granted ability, not the rate, and the counters only arrive when the creatures dealt damage actually die. That makes it a snowball lord rather than a stabilizer, the bloodsucking answer to a question the tribe keeps asking: how do you build a swarm that outlasts the removal aimed at it instead of merely outnumbering the opponent?
