Valorous Stance
Two narrow tools sharing a slot, aimed at opposite ends of the board. The protection mode answers a wrath, a damage-based removal spell, or a combat double-block; the kill mode handles exactly the kind of large, hard-to-burn threat that the protection mode would normally be defending. White rarely gets unconditional creature removal, so the toughness-4-or-greater clause is the tax: small utility creatures and the format's many efficient one- and two-drops walk free, while fatties and fattened-up bombs do not. The card reads as flexible, but a player has to know before casting which board state they are in; there is no mode that does nothing, but there is also no mode that does everything. Instant speed is what makes both halves earn their keep. The indestructible mode can ambush a sweeper or a removal spell on the stack, and the destroy mode catches a freshly attacking or freshly pumped creature at the exact moment it crosses the toughness threshold. This is conditional white removal in the older tradition: it asks a question (is the target big enough?) rather than handing over a blank answer, and that restraint is what keeps efficient white interaction from quietly annexing black's job.
