Valkyrior Skyrider
White has printed the five-mana evasive body with an incidental life bump for a very long time, and this reading of the template sits squarely in that lineage: a 3/4 flier that gains you four life the moment it lands. The stat line makes its ambitions plain. Flying lets it trade up in the air or chip in for a few points, and the four life softens the turn you tap out for it, but the return ends there. The lifegain is a one-time entry trigger with nothing to repeat it and nothing that scales; the body defends well and attacks unremarkably. This is curve-filler wearing a costume, a design that has always leaned on cheap air coverage and a modest cushion rather than any engine. What it delivers is precisely what the numbers advertise and no more, which for a card meant to round out a white creature deck describes it rather than indicts it.
