Urgoros, the Empty One
The Specter's oldest weakness was going inert. Hypnotic Specter stripped a card on connection and did nothing once the opponent's hand ran dry, which meant a topdecking opponent could simply ignore the trigger. Here the discard clause refuses to whiff: if the defending player has no card to lose, the hit converts into a draw for you instead, so the same attack that once fizzled now feeds your hand. The archetype built on emptying hands stays live into the late game where it used to stall out. The body pays for that reliability. A 4/3 flier for six mana sits behind the curve for evasive black finishers of any era, and three toughness leaves it vulnerable to the cheap pings and combat tricks a more aggressively-statted Specter could shrug off. The exchange is rate for consistency: every landed hit either takes a card from them or makes one for you, no dead turns. What you are protecting is a fragile attacker running a slow engine, betting that the discard-or-draw clock outpaces the fight over its short toughness.
