Enrage almost always reads as a downside softened into value: get poked, get a consolation prize. This one weaponizes the trigger by pointing it at proliferate, which turns a single point of damage into a board-wide multiplier. Every counter already in play grows: +1/+1 counters on your team, loyalty on your planeswalkers, poison ticking up on an opponent, the saga chapter, the charge counter you needed one more of. The body is built to feed the loop rather than merely survive it. Vigilance means the Dinosaur can attack into a blocker, eat the combat damage, and still be back on defense with the proliferate having already resolved, so the enrage is not a tax on aggression the way it is on ground-stalling brutes. The 4/3 frame is the honest cost here: three toughness is fragile enough that the enrage will fire, which is precisely the point. In a shell full of counters this is an engine that asks opponents to choose between letting the attack through and handing you a free proliferate by chump-blocking, a bind that most enrage creatures never manage to create because their trigger only benefits themselves. It is the rare enrage design where getting hit is not damage control but the entire plan, and the payoff scales with whatever counter-based strategy it is bolted onto.
