Uproot

Land disruption that trades destruction for displacement: instead of breaking a land, this lifts it onto its owner's library, costing them a draw to recommit the land drop. On raw count it matches Stone Rain, a single-target one-for-one, and denying the top card is itself a card, so the opponent loses the spell they would have drawn next and then spends a land drop replaying ground they already had. Where it diverges from outright destruction is the destination. A destroyed land goes to the graveyard; this one goes back into the deck, which inverts the math against permanents that want to die. A manland gets reset rather than killed, and a sacrificial or graveyard-hungry land is denied its second life. What complicates the read is how it sits inside the splice mechanic: it carries no splice ability of its own, it is instead an eligible host that other Arcane spells can splice onto. Because splice grafts its rider text onto the spell as it is cast, you announce this, then attach cheaper Arcane effects as you put it on the stack, paying their splice costs to stack a second and third effect on the same cast. At four mana to delay one land drop the bare rate is thin; it earns its keep only when the displaced land is worth more than the card spent to send it home, or when the splice host turns one cast into several.
