Untamed Might
The whole pitch is symmetry: spend N extra mana, get +N/+N. That balance is rarer than it sounds. Most green pump in this vein is asymmetric on purpose, weighting toughness or power to push a specific combat math, but here each point of mana buys equal halves, which lets the card scale cleanly from a two-mana () nudge that wins a marginal block into a haymaker that doubles a creature's stats in a single shot. The scaling is the design problem it resolves: a fixed pump spell is either too small late or too expensive early, while an X-cost trick is always priced to the board in front of you, holding mana open as both a combat answer and a mana sink for the empty-handed late game. The
floor keeps it honest at the bottom (there is no point in casting it for zero), and instant speed means it lives in the same window as the blocks and removal it is built to ambush. Symmetric +X/+X has long been green's most direct way to turn a mana advantage into combat advantage, and few X-spells express that conversion as plainly as this one: no riders, no conditions, just mana converted to size at the moment it matters most.
