Unifying Theory

Every time anyone casts a spell, this enchantment opens a small private auction: pay two more mana, draw a card. The offer goes only to the player who cast the spell, never to the table at large, which is the detail the casual read gets backwards. The symmetry is structural, not in the payout: everyone gets the option on their own spells, so the engine quietly rewards whoever casts more and has the spare mana to convert. That makes it stranger than a draw enchantment. It is a standing surcharge laid over the whole game, where each cast becomes a question of whether the marginal card justifies the marginal two mana. The player who profits is the one whose mana and spell count are built to take the offer more often than the opponent can, which is a genuine deckbuilding axis rather than a free value tap. Plenty of cheap enchantments from this design era pay off raw casting volume, but most do it one-sided; here the option exists for everyone, so the edge comes entirely from who is positioned to exploit it. The two-mana surcharge per draw is both the throttle and the trap. Pay it too eagerly and you have spent your turn buying cards instead of developing a board. The draws are never free; they cost a turn's worth of tempo two mana at a time, and the discipline is knowing when to pass the offer on a spell you would rather have simply cast.
