Unbender Tine

An untap engine stripped down to its purest mechanical form: a repeatable, colorless-to-tap source of one untap per turn, hung off an Azorius artifact body that asks only that you find a permanent worth untapping. The "another target" clause is the load-bearing restriction, ruling out the trivial self-untap loop that would make this a free engine, but it does nothing to slow the obvious play: point it at a mana rock, a tap-to-draw artifact, or any creature with a meaningful activated ability, and you have doubled that permanent's output every turn for the cost of one. The design lives entirely in what you choose to untap, which is why it reads as filler in a vacuum and as a combo piece the moment a permanent's tap ability is worth firing twice. It sits in a long line of untap-effect enablers, the same structural job a sorcery-speed reset or an untap-on-trigger does elsewhere, but rendered as a permanent fixture you can lean on every turn rather than a one-shot. The honesty of the card is that it brings nothing to the table on its own: no body, no value, no clock. It is a lever, and the only question it ever asks is what you bolt it to.
