Twins of Discord

Parity as an evasion axis is a genuinely unusual lever, and the design gets there by reading the whole board's mana values at once. Odd or even is a coin flip the defender cannot influence: whichever half of their board the attack names, those creatures can't block this turn, so the effect scales with how many blockers the opponent has committed rather than with any single card. Zero counting as even matters mostly for token armies, actual zero-cost creatures, and face-down creatures, which all get swept in when the attacker calls even. The second half rewards colorless density with bloodthirst 2, and the two halves interlock through this creature's own body: an 8/6 that connects opens the lane for every other colorless creature entering afterward to arrive two counters larger. That is the payoff loop the design is built around, and it wants a specific kind of board underneath it: a critical mass of cheap colorless creatures you can flood out after combat has already broken through. On its own it is a large beater with a conditional trigger that keeps a portion of the opposing board home; surrounded by the Eldrazi and colorless-creature shells it points at, the parity choice becomes a repeatable way to clear out half the potential blockers and then bank the counters that first blood unlocks.
