Turtleshell Changeling
A 1/4 that, for , becomes a 4/1 attacker at instant speed and reverts before the crackback lands: that switch is the whole trick. It flips a defensive body trading up against early aggression into a surprise four-power threat the moment a blocker steps aside, and the swap can be fired again within the same turn or held until the end step. Universal typing does the other half of the work. As a Changeling it carries every creature type, so it answers any tribal lord, satisfies any "creatures you control of this type" clause, and slots into a graveyard or sacrifice shell no matter what surrounds it. That pairing is the design point: a power/toughness switch matters most on a creature whose typing already lets it fit anywhere, because the wall that holds a stalled board can pivot to offense the turn the stall breaks. Most shapeshifters of this generation sold themselves purely on their everything-typing; this one stacks a manipulable stat line on top, turning a flexible blocker into a flexible attacker without ever swapping out the card.
