Tap a fragile 2/2 flyer, pay two more mana, and hand a creature +2/+2 until end of turn: the math never quite works in a vacuum. Giant Growth costs a single green, hits the stack at instant speed, and does not require a body that survives to your attack step. What this Human Wizard offers in exchange is repeatability and the targeting flexibility to pump anything on the board, your creatures or, in the multiplayer kitchen tables Legends was designed around, a teammate's. That second use is the angle the rate makes sense through: this is a political card from a set that assumed politics, a permanent that turns mana into a recurring favor you can grant or withhold. The flying is a survival mechanism, not the threat; the activation is the point, and the point is a Wizard who exists to make other creatures bigger turn after turn, gated behind the double-double pips that anchor it to a two-color commitment. The design vocabulary for repeatable pump has moved on since (anthems, equipment, mutual +1/+1 counter engines), but the underlying ask (spend mana every turn to grow a board you do not fully own) is recognizably the same archetype Tuknir was an early, clumsy sketch of.
