Tromell, Seymour's Butler

A static counter engine and a burst payoff share the same body, and the sequencing pressure between them is what makes this Elf worth building around. The first line is passive: every nontoken creature you cast lands one size larger, so a wide board becomes a threatening one without asking for anything back. The second line is where the design sharpens. Proliferating a number of times equal to how many creatures entered this turn means the ability scales with the exact flood of bodies the first line is already improving, but the counting clause is unforgiving. It reads "this turn," so the payoff only exists on the turn you commit. The play pattern is front-loaded: empty your hand of creatures, then tap Tromell in the same main phase to proliferate once for every body that just arrived, doubling down on the fresh +1/+1 counters. Wait a turn and the counter resets to zero. Proliferate also touches any counter type, not just the ones this rider generates, so the ability quietly feeds loyalty, charge counters, saga chapters, and anything else already carrying a marker on your side. The 2/3 body is deliberately minor; its value comes from the counters it multiplies, not the combat it wins. It sits in the counters-matter lineage that treats proliferate as a repeatable resource, and the twist is the tempo demand: idle on an empty turn, explosive on a full one.
