Flash points this Aura in two directions at once, and the untap-on-entry clause is what makes both work. Cast in your own combat, it untaps a tapped attacker and hands it vigilance, turning a creature that already swung into a blocker on the way back, with a +1/+1 bump as the kicker. Cast on the defensive, the untap rescues a creature that got tapped down: drop it on a blocker an opponent tried to neutralize and you get a surprise body in the way, one that survives the trade it was not supposed to win. The work combat tricks usually do through raw stats or removal, this one does through tempo: slipping an Aura onto the stack the instant the attack or block has been declared, when its target is already set. The permanent +1/+1 and vigilance are almost the consolation prize, the lingering body of an effect that earned its keep in a single combat step. It is a modest card pulled toward usefulness by one well-chosen keyword. Strip the flash and you have an unremarkable two-mana Aura nobody would sleeve; with it, the same stat line becomes a reactive tool that asks you to hold up mana and wait for the right moment to spend it.
