Treasured Find

SorceryBlack manaGreen mana

The price of color identity is the price you pay for flexibility. Regrowth recurs anything for one green mana; Raise Dead pulls a creature for one black. This splits the difference and charges a second color for the privilege: any card type, but you commit to both black and green to do it, and the spell exiles itself afterward so there is no looping it back. That self-exile clause is the real cost. A reusable two-color recursion engine would warp graveyard decks badly, so the design pins the effect to a single use: it fetches your bomb, your combo piece, your missing land, and then leaves the game entirely rather than becoming a recursion target itself. What earns it the deckbuilding slot is breadth. Most graveyard retrieval in either color is type-locked, forcing you to run separate answers for creatures and noncreatures; this collapses that into one card that does not care what it is grabbing. The deck that wants it is the one already in both colors and already filling its own graveyard, where a single flexible buyback of whatever matters most is worth more than two narrower spells that each gather dust half the time.
