Creature — Avatar7 generic mana

Converge is the design lever that makes this a build-around rather than a colorless top-end you jam into any deck: at seven generic mana it costs the same regardless of how you pay, but the payoff scales entirely with how many colors of mana you spend, so the card silently punishes monochrome and rewards a manabase stretched wide. That structure inverts the usual tension around fixing. Most greedy five-color decks pay a life-and-tempo tax for their rainbow lands; here the tax becomes the reward, five colors turning the trigger into a genuine refill. The discard clause is the balancing counterweight: the draw is only ever a net gain of X minus two, so a two-color cast (draw two, discard two) is pure filtering, a wash on card count that trades your worst cards for two off the top. The math does not become card advantage until you hit three colors, and only rewards the full stretch at four or five. That gating keeps a 6/6 with vigilance from also being an unconditional value engine; you earn the cards by earning the colors. It is a top-end whose ceiling is set by your mana, not by the spell itself, which is a cleaner way to gate a payoff than a hard color requirement in the mana cost would have been.
