The most common dual-color land in the game: a tapland that produces one of two colors, the entry-level fixing every two-color archetype starts with before it can afford the painlands, shocklands, or check lands that do the same job without the lost tempo. That single "enters tapped" line is what pays for an untyped land producing two colors at no life cost and no condition. The trade is a turn of speed, which is why these belong to decks that can spend it: slower midrange and control shells that would rather smooth their early curve than race. This particular one covers green and white, the color pair of go-wide tokens and lifegain midrange, and it sits in a complete cycle of ten, one for every two-color combination, each printed at common so the cheapest tier of every guild has a fixer that asks nothing but tempo. It does not have a basic land type, so it dodges the fetchland and ramp effects that key off "Forest" or "Plains," which is the quiet reason more polished taplands eventually replaced it wherever the rate mattered. As a piece of fixing it is the floor, not the ceiling: the card every newer dual is built to outdo.
