Tormented Soul
Unblockable is one of the cleanest ways to turn a mediocre creature into a delivery mechanism, and this is about as bare-bones as the package gets: a one-drop whose entire job is to connect, every turn, no questions asked. The body is irrelevant, which is precisely the point. A creature this small is a curiosity on its own; the same creature carrying anything you bolt onto it is infrastructure. Stack equipment, auras, or a few infect-style counters and the unconditional evasion does the work the stats never will, because "can't be blocked" sidesteps the entire opposing board rather than just outclassing one creature. The trade-off is written into the same line that grants the evasion: it can't block either, so it offers nothing on defense, which keeps it honest in the aggressive shells it was built for. That self-imposed cost is more committal than the menace and flying creatures of older designs, which still pull blocking duty while this one is locked into attacking and nothing else. It descends from earlier "shadow" and ghost designs that traded interaction for guaranteed combat damage, distilled here to the smallest possible mana cost. Nothing about it rewards clever lines; it rewards being attached to a payoff, and that single-mindedness is the whole design.
