Tome of the Infinite

Legendary Artifact — Book2 generic manaBlue mana

Conjure only exists in the digital client, and this artifact is the mechanic's showcase in permanent form: a generator that pulls from a fixed, curated spellbook rather than from your deck. The design problem it solves is variance without deckbuilding cost. You do not run these cards; you produce them one at a time from a mana investment and a tap, and each one arrives already fixed with color-agnostic casting, so the very mana you spent generating it is never the reason you cannot cast it. That perpetual clause is the quiet load-bearing piece: it lets a mono-blue shell spit out off-color effects it has no business paying for, turning the artifact into a splashless source of cards printed nowhere in any deck. The randomness is what keeps the engine in check. Because the pull is random and the spellbook is closed, the tap ability behaves like a slow, repeatable coin-flip rather than a tutor: you cannot dig for a specific answer, only accept whatever the pool hands you. This represents a category of card that could not exist in paper at all, an engine whose value comes from a curated pool of effects that live only inside it, conjured individually and each pre-solved for the color-screw that would otherwise punish casting them. It is less a strong card than a proof of concept for what conjure lets a designer build once the physical constraints of a shuffled deck fall away.
