Tomb Trawler

Artifact Creature — Golem2 generic mana

Two jobs bolted to one two-drop, and the seam between them is the point. Four toughness for two mana holds ground against early aggression and blocks all day, asking nothing beyond the cost to show up. The activation works on a separate axis, a repeatable two-mana toll paid whenever you have the mana to spare. What sharpens that toll is where the retrieved card goes: not back to hand, but onto the bottom of your library, so the payoff is deferred until you dig back down to it. That deferral is doing the balancing here; a repeatable recursion effect on a colorless artifact would be oppressive if it returned a threat to hand every turn, but recycling a key answer or ramp piece to the bottom of the deck only ensures a long game does not run you dry. Being an artifact, it dodges color identity entirely and slots into any deck that plans to grind, then survives long enough to keep clicking. The design is deliberately unshowy: a defensive floor stapled to a slow, colorless graveyard drip. That plainness is the feature, since it lets the effect ride in decks that want the recursion without spending a color to get it.
