Common-rarity dual fixing, built to exactly one specification: enter tapped, then produce either of two colors every turn after. The tapped clause is the entire price, and it buys nothing beyond the fixing itself: no life loss, no basic-type subtype, no Gate or cycling rider, no way to arrive untapped on a clean board. That austerity is the point. This is the floor of the dual-land design space, the rate against which every fancier two-color land is measured, and it exists so a low-rarity or budget deck can splash a second color without the deckbuilding tax that fetchable or painless duals carry. The cost is paid once, on the turn it lands, by surrendering a tempo beat; after that it is functionally a Gruul-fixing source with no further strings. Wizards has printed a full cycle of these in each color pair across many sets, refreshing them whenever a low-rarity environment needs honest mana without the splashy abilities that would push them past common. Nothing about it rewards building around it, and nothing punishes you for running it beyond that opening turn. It does its job on turn one and then recedes into the background, which is precisely what the slot calls for.
