A 0/1 with haste reads like a typo until you watch how it spends the attack step. The body never blocks, never trades, never matters on its own terms: it exists to throw itself into the red zone and immediately stop being itself. The copy clause keys to attacking and can only mirror another attacking creature, so this is a card built entirely around the timing of combat. You declare it as part of an alpha strike and the trigger resolves once attackers are locked in, before defenders assign blocks: by the time the opponent is choosing how to soak the swing, the 0/1 is already wearing your best attacker's stats and abilities. The nonlegendary restriction is the load-bearing limit here. It walls off the highest-value targets, so the card cannot simply become a second copy of whatever singular threat commands the board, and it points the design squarely at go-wide boards full of token-makers and repeatable beaters. The reason a fragile attacker becomes worth running is that it scales with the rest of the team rather than with its own stats; the more threatening your widest creature, the more this one is worth, and it costs nothing extra to redirect the copy at the best target each combat. It is a multiplier wearing the worst stat line in the deck: useless in a vacuum, dangerous the instant there is something next to it worth becoming.
