Tightening Coils
A pacifism effect that admits it is one. Most attack-stoppers either tap a creature down or simply turn off its ability to deal combat damage, but this one reaches the same place by a different route: it strips six power, which neutralizes almost anything an opponent can put in front of it, and it clips the wings on top, so an evasive threat becomes a grounded wall. The -6/-0 is the design tell. Against a small body it does nothing the cheaper hard-locks wouldn't do better, but against a large flier (precisely the threat a deck most wants to neutralize) it does double duty: the creature can no longer connect over the top, and even if it gets through, it hits for next to nothing. The trade-off is that it never kills, never silences abilities, and leaves a creature on the board that can still block, still attack into open ground for whatever power remains, and still be sacrificed or bounced to shed the Aura. It is an Aura built to answer one kind of card (the big flying finisher) rather than a generic neutralizer, which is why it reads as cheap insurance against a specific threat profile rather than catch-all removal.
