A stalled green board that has flooded with small bodies but can't break through a defensive wall becomes lethal the moment this lands and the anthem switches on. The self-buff is the least of it; the relevant clause is what happens to everything else. Every other creature you control grows by two in each direction and picks up trample, the rare green effect that scales with board size and board width at once. Bodies that would chump and bounce off become attackers that force chump blockers and then punch past them, because trample lets the attacker's excess power spill onto the defending player once the blocker has been assigned its lethal share. That is the important distinction: the +2/+2 barely matters against a 1/1 wall, but the trample grant means the extra size isn't wasted eating a small blocker; whatever is left over past the block goes to the face. All of it hangs on one condition, which in a deck singleton-built around a single legendary creature is closer to a given than a hurdle: keep your commander on the battlefield. That is also the honest weakness, the strength written backwards. Kill or steal the commander and the whole effect evaporates mid-combat, often after blocks are declared and attackers are committed. It is an anthem tethered to one permanent you cannot hide, which is precisely the trade the keyword was built to make: the format's defining constraint turned into a payoff.
