A tribal payoff that counts itself: because the trigger tallies every Giant you control and this one is already on the battlefield when its entry blast resolves, it never deals less than its baseline. Land it onto an empty board and it deals a single point to each non-Giant creature, a shrug; land it after a couple of other Giants have already stuck and the count climbs to three or four, sweeping most small bodies off the field while your own Giants stand untouched. That self-referential count is the entire engineering choice. It rewards a board that has already leaned hard into the type, and it punishes the go-wide decks built on cheap, fragile creatures that a top-heavy ramp strategy tends to fold against. The 4/4 body is the cost of admission, not the draw; the real prize is a sweeper-on-a-stick that scales with how committed your creature base has become. Giant decks of this design era were ramp-into-fatties affairs, the kind that stumbles when an opponent floods the board faster, and this card answers that exact weakness by converting the deck's own bulk into a board-clearing weapon. Tribal critical mass turned into removal, a design that asks nothing of your spell slots and everything of how many Giants you can muster before it arrives.
