Three Tree Mascot

Artifact Creature — Shapeshifter2 generic mana

A changeling that also fixes mana is a quiet double-dip of deck-slot economy: it satisfies every tribal payoff that cares about a creature type while also functioning as a repeatable, if slow, mana rock. The activated ability is deliberately throttled: one mana of any color, once each turn, at a mana cost that never breaks even in raw acceleration. That restriction is the point. This is not a Signet or a dork built to ramp; it is a body that happens to smooth colors while filling the same tribal-count slot an Amoeboid Changeling or Universal Automaton would fill, except this one contributes something on the turns nobody is attacking. The design lives at the intersection of two archetypes that rarely overlap: five-color goodstuff, which wants any-color sources, and typal aggro, which wants bodies that answer to lords. Changeling has always been the cleanest way to make a creature count as everything at once, and stapling mana fixing to it means the card earns its place in a deck that is neither purely tribal nor purely ramp. The 2/1 frame keeps it honest as a combatant: it dies to a stiff breeze, so its value is durational rather than a threat on the board.
