Indestructibility on a dual land answers a problem most decks never plan for until a Wasteland or an Assassin's Trophy strands them off a color. This cycle pays for that durability up front: it enters tapped, surrendering the tempo of an untapped fixer, and in return it ignores every effect that says "destroy." That tapped entry is the whole price, and it bites in decks that want their mana online each turn, since the loss compounds over an early curve. The payoff is a source that survives land-hitting board wipes, targeted land destruction, and any artifact removal that names destruction: Shatter, Disenchant, and the rest all read "destroy," which is precisely what this land shrugs off. Removing it cleanly means routing around destruction entirely with exile, bounce, or a forced sacrifice, and those effects are simply rarer than plain destruction across the card pool, regardless of what colors the opponent is running. The artifact type cuts both ways: it feeds artifact-count synergies while widening the pool of effects that can touch it. But a green-white fair deck rarely leans on artifact tricks, so the indestructibility reads less as combo fuel and more as insurance, a two-color source you can trust to still be there on turn ten as surely as turn two.
