The Brothers' War
Sagas usually tell a story to you; this one conscripts the whole table into reenacting the war it's named for. The middle chapter is the giveaway. Chapter II doesn't buff or burn: it seizes two players' armies and points them at each other, forcing creatures to attack across a line the caster drew, for a full turn cycle. That's a Goad effect scaled up into a set-piece, a way of manufacturing a Brothers' War in miniature at someone else's board rather than your own. The bookends serve the fiction too. Chapter I lays down two Powerstone tokens, the artifact-ramp resource that flavors the era's war machines and quietly stocks the count that Chapter III cashes in. By the time the Saga sacrifices itself after the third read, X is however many artifacts you've amassed across three turns, split as two independent bolts at two targets. So the arc is complete on its own terms: build the war economy, set the combatants against each other, then end it with a two-pronged strike sized by everything you built. Most red enchantments in this slot are one-note payoffs; the design here is a three-act structure where each chapter feeds the next, and the payoff scales with a resource the Saga itself created two chapters earlier. It rewards an artifact-forward shell not as a bonus but as the premise the whole card is written around.
