Three chapters that each answer a different problem a controlling white deck faces, sequenced in the order those problems tend to arrive. Chapter one, which fires the moment the Saga hits the battlefield, secures a land drop by fetching a basic Plains, thinning the deck and guaranteeing a white source stays online through the early turns. Chapter two, which arrives with the next lore counter after your draw step, buys the time that fixing was meant to protect: a 0/4 defender is a wall in the literal sense, absorbing the aggressive starts white is worst against. Chapter three is the smallest of the three, a flat two life, a concession that by the time the Saga retires the pressure it was built to survive should already be broken. The Saga chassis suits this effect because of the enforced tempo. Chapter one comes free on entry, but the rest unfold on the draw-step schedule, one counter per turn, and the card sacrifices itself after the third: you cannot rush the wall out ahead of time or bank the life gain for a later crisis. The payoff is spread across three consecutive turns whether the game wants it spread that way or not, which is exactly the discipline a stall-and-stabilize plan accepts. It reads as three modest lines of text, and it is; no single chapter is asked to carry a turn. The sum is meant to smooth out white's rockiest early stretch, the window where a defensive deck either finds its footing or falls behind for good.
