Tendo Ice Bridge

Land

A fixing land you have to spend down. Most painless five-color sources tap for any color indefinitely; this one carries a single charge counter, and cashing it for a colored source is a one-time transaction. After that, what remains is a colorless-only land that taps for Colorless mana and nothing else. That structure is the whole bargain: it enters untapped, fixes any color the turn you need it, and then quietly demotes itself to a worse-than-basic land for the rest of the game. The design answers a specific problem in low-curve decks: a fixing source that does not cost you life like a fetch-and-painland chain or tempo like a tapland, but charges you on the back end instead of the front. Decks that need one or two off-color pips early and can stomach a dead colorless draw later get the better end of it, a narrower brief than a true any-color land but a cheaper one in every resource that matters in the opening turns. The counter is doing the same work a sacrifice clause does on a fetchland: it converts an open-ended ability into a single use, and prices the fixing accordingly. Reading it as a five-color land undersells the constraint; reading it as a one-shot color filter with a colorless land stapled underneath is closer to how it actually plays.
