Tempest Hawk

Creature — Bird2 generic manaWhite mana

The rule text at the bottom is doing the interesting work: a deck can run any number of copies, an explicit exemption from the four-of limit that Magic normally reserves for basic lands and a small handful of named cards. That single line reframes what the combat trigger is for. Most tutor effects fetch a single silver bullet; this one fetches only more of itself, so hitting a player replaces the attacker in your hand and keeps the chain going as long as the creature connects. The design belongs to a small tradition of self-replicating commons: think of the effect as a flying, evasive version of the "draw another copy when this does its job" template that lets a limited card pool stack a deck to the brim on one name. The evasion is what makes the loop credible rather than cute: a ground creature that has to punch through blockers rarely gets its trigger, but a two-power flier connects often enough that a deck full of these can chain a fresh copy into hand turn after turn. The body itself is unremarkable, and it is supposed to be. The payoff is not the 2/2; it is the promise that as long as one of them is getting through, you will never run out of them.
