Tempered Sliver
The Sliver anthem that pays you for connecting rather than for casting. Where the tribe's classic lords hand out static buffs the moment they resolve, this one grants every Sliver a growth engine keyed to combat damage: land a hit, gain a counter, come back bigger next turn. The distinction matters more than it looks. Static +1/+1 anthems stack additively and reward going wide; this ability rewards going through, snowballing whichever creatures the opponent can't profitably block until the whole board outgrows their answers. Cast it before combat and the counters can start compounding the same turn, provided your Slivers are already getting in. The counters also survive what the anthem itself does not. Kill the source of a static buff and the team shrinks; kill Tempered Sliver after damage has landed and every counter it minted stays put, because a +1/+1 counter is a permanent modification of the creature it sits on rather than a continuous effect tied to a live body. That permanence is the design's real payoff and its real cost: the ability does nothing to rescue a stalled board and only compounds when your attackers are already connecting. It is the aggressive counterpart to the tribe's more familiar defensive and evasive lords, built for the deck that intends to attack every turn and wants each successful swing to make the next one lethal.
