Tel-Jilad Fallen
Protection from artifacts reads like an answer to a world built of metal, and on a plane where most threats and most removal carry the artifact type, that keyword pulls double duty: it slips past artifact blockers and artifact removal alike, and it cannot be chumped by the constructs and Myr filling the same board. The toughness of 1 is the price of that aggression, leaving the body exposed to any incidental nonartifact sweep or ping. Infect is what turns the evasion into a clock. Without it, protection from artifacts is defensive insurance; here the keyword exists to push damage that lands harder and faster than ordinary combat. Three poison per swing threatens the ten-counter kill in four connections while ignoring the metallic walls a Phyrexian-flavored format keeps raising. The two abilities are tuned to pull in the same direction: the protection clears a path, the infect makes the path lethal in a hurry. This is a tightly purposed beater (green infect that walks through artifact defenses) with no ambition beyond that one job, and the body's fragility is the tax it pays for doing the job so cleanly.
