Teeka's Dragon

Artifact Creature — Dragon9 generic mana

A nine-mana artifact Dragon from an era when colorless creatures of any consequence were rare, and a window into how mid-90s design solved the problem of making a generic-cost beater feel deliberately punishing rather than merely big. Rampage 4 is the mechanic that gives this body its teeth: a 5/5 flier with trample is unremarkable for the cost, but the moment a defender commits a second blocker the creature balloons by +4/+4 for each additional blocker, so the more an opponent stacks chump-blockers the larger and more lethal the Dragon becomes through trample. The design discipline is the trigger condition. Rampage only fires when the creature is already blocked, so it does nothing against an open board and everything against a desperate one, turning the gang-block (a defender's standard answer to a large evasive threat) into a liability. That inversion is the whole point: it asks the opponent to choose between taking five in the air or feeding a creature that grows faster than they can wall it. Rampage was a short-lived keyword, largely retired after its early appearances, and its mechanical heir lives on in modern menace-and-trample interactions rather than in a literal reprint, which makes this Dragon a fossil of a balancing idea the game tested and moved past.
