Rally rewards saturation: every Ally that enters wants a payoff attached, and the loudest payoff in the tribe is this one. Where most rally clauses hand out a single counter, a tapped attacker, or a point of life, +2/+2 to the entire board on every Ally that hits play turns a wide field into lethal the moment two or three creatures arrive in sequence. The 2/1 body is deliberately frail: that fragility is the tax on an anthem trigger that would be oppressive on any durable frame, so the card wants to attack the turn it lands or shortly after, before a removal spell shuts the engine off. The balancing act runs between the trigger's open-ended scale and the practical difficulty of landing multiple Allies in one turn, and that friction is all that separates a five-cost pump from an outright blowout. Read the rally clause carefully and it fires on its own entry too, so it swings the board the turn it arrives rather than waiting for reinforcements, with any cheap Ally cast afterward stacking another +2/+2 on top. The whole archetype lives or dies on flooding the board; few of the tribe's tools convert that flood into damage as violently.
