Syphon Sliver

Creature — Sliver2 generic manaBlack mana

The Sliver design philosophy is that every member rewrites the rules for the whole team, and this one bolts a sustain engine onto a creature type built to overwhelm. Lifelink across an entire board of Slivers turns the deck's natural overcommitment into a virtue: the wider you go, the more life every attack returns, and combat math that should be punishing for the aggressor swings hard the other way. The keyword applies to the whole tribe, itself included, so even chip damage from a horde of small bodies becomes a steady drain on the race. The deck's signature problem (running out of gas before the opponent stabilizes) gets answered not by drawing cards but by refusing to lose the life total in the first place. It sits in the long line of Slivers that hand out a single evergreen keyword to the tribe, the same structural move as the ones that grant haste or flying or first strike, but lifelink changes the axis the deck competes on rather than just its speed. Against burn and other aggressive decks the swing is largest, since every point of damage you deal is also a point recovered. The cost of the design is that the payoff scales with the board: this is still a lifelinking 2/2 on its own, but the point of the card is the multiplier it places on every other Sliver already swinging.
