The Norse fire-giant here rewires an old red archetype around a payload that reaches anywhere on the board. Historic-matters was a mechanic built to reward legendary and artifact density, but most cards that keyed off it dealt in card advantage or small buffs; wiring it to a repeatable three-point burst turns every historic spell into a Lightning Bolt with a body already committed to the red zone. The design tension is in what counts: because legendaries, artifacts, and Sagas all qualify, the trigger is easy to reach in a deck that was going to cast those spells anyway, so the god itself asks for almost no dedicated support beyond a critical mass of qualifying cards. The 5/5 trample frame is the part that quietly does the heaviest lifting. It means the same turn you're firing off burn to the face or clearing a blocker, you're also swinging for a body that punches through chumps, and the two damage sources point in the same direction. That convergence is the whole strategic axis: the historic trigger can finish a player off before combat or remove the one creature that would have stopped the attack, all from a single spell you were already casting. It is a burn engine that happens to have legs, or a beater that happens to throw fireballs, and which one it is on a given turn is dictated entirely by what you draw.
