A Sleep with a dial on it. The base sorcery is a familiar tempo-swing effect: tap all creatures one player controls and buy a turn, a delaying action that reads more like a pseudo-Fog than a threat. The energy payment converts that stall into a lock. Every creature you spend energy on takes a stun counter, which absorbs its next untap event, so instead of straightening up it burns the counter and stays down another full turn. Bank enough energy and the whole board freezes through a second untap step, which is how a one-turn overhang becomes a soft Time Walk against a creature deck. The ceiling lives entirely in the energy reservoir: with an empty one it is a plain tapper, with a full one it is a hard stop that removes nothing but stops everything. The land back half is the quieter side of the bargain, and the reason a conditional five-mana tempo spell earns a slot at all. Rather than pairing the sorcery with another card competing for the same casting turn, the reverse offers a tapped dual that produces white or blue, so a situational answer that would otherwise clog a hand can simply be played as a land when the board does not need freezing. The effect is the flashier half; the modal frame is what keeps paying for it affordable.
