Streambed Aquitects

Most islandwalk enablers in blue grant evasion on a coin flip: your opponent has to be on Islands, and against a non-blue board that line of text is dead. The second activation here sidesteps the condition by manufacturing it. Tap to turn any land an opponent controls into an Island, then tap to hand a Merfolk islandwalk, and the evasion goes from situational to guaranteed against any board with a land to target. The two abilities are deliberately split across separate activations, which is the catch: a single copy taps once per turn, so on a given turn one Aquitects can either fabricate the Island or grant the islandwalk, not both, and the land-flip wears off at end of turn before the creature untaps. Connecting the two halves on the same swing wants a second tapper, an untap effect, or another copy. The +1/+1 rides along to push extra damage through a board that suddenly cannot block. This is a tribal piece that supplies the missing half of an evasion package rather than a stat boost, and the design points squarely at a go-wide Merfolk plan where one unblockable swing ends the game. The body is incidental: it exists to survive long enough to keep tapping, turning a stalled aggro draw into a clock the defender has no answer for short of removing the source.
