Stormblood Berserker

Bloodthirst usually buys a creature one extra counter as a small reward for committing to the beatdown plan early. This one ships two, and that doubled bonus is the entire pivot: connect with anything before this resolves, and the replacement effect that bloodthirst sets up means it lands not as a 1/1 but as a 3/3 that demands a double-block. The body that enters the battlefield is the only one that matters, since bloodthirst is checked as the creature comes down, not later. Menace is what closes the trap. A 1/1 with menace is a nuisance an opponent can ignore or chump; a 3/3 with menace forces two blockers into combat, which an aggressive board often cannot spare without conceding tempo elsewhere. The whole design lives in when it hits the table. Cast it onto an empty board on turn two and it is a 1/1 that sneaks a point through here and there. Cast it after a one-drop has connected, or behind a burn spell aimed at the opponent's face, and you have a two-mana 3/3 with evasion the opponent cannot easily wall: three to the dome each swing, eating two blockers every time it attacks. That conditionality is the price of the rate, since a two-drop that evades and hits for three sits well above the curve. The card asks the deck to be the kind that reliably draws first blood before turn two, and offers nothing to the deck that wants to play from behind.
