Storm the Seedcore

Green's mass-pump alpha strikes almost all share a defect: the boost evaporates at cleanup, so a swing that gets chump-blocked or answered with a sweeper leaves nothing behind. Overrun hands the team +3/+3 and trample for a single turn; Triumph of the Hordes grants trample and infect for a lethal poison swing. This one keeps the finishing package (trample and vigilance across the board) but delivers the size as +1/+1 counters, which persist after the turn ends. That single substitution rewrites what the spell is worth. A swing here builds a permanent army even when it is blocked, and the vigilance means committing to the attack does not leave you tapped out on the crackback. The distribution is the real decision, and because the counters go on targets, you commit the split when you cast, not when it resolves: four counters spread among up to four creatures, chosen up front. Pile all four onto one evasive threat to punch through, or scatter them so a single targeted removal spell cannot blow out the whole buff at once. As a sorcery it lives on your main phase, so it is a board-development play rather than a trick you hold up: you cast it into an open board, bank the counters as durable equity, and let the trample-and-vigilance grant carry the same turn's attack. The counters are the part that outlasts the swing.
