Plane — Innistrad

The vampire highlands of Innistrad, rendered as a symmetric combat-reward engine that treats the first blood spilled against a player each turn as a growth trigger. That symmetry is the whole design pivot: the first ability doesn't care who controls the creature, so the moment any attacker connects with a player, it gets a counter and comes back bigger. In practice this turns every board into an escalating one, snowballing aggression on all sides rather than favoring whoever happens to be phasing through this plane. The flavor is doing exactly what vampires do on Innistrad: bloodthirst mechanized into permanent empowerment, scaled up from a single creature's keyword to a rule that hangs over the whole game. The chaos payoff is the partisan half, arming your own creatures with a tap-to-ping for 1 aimed straight at players and planeswalkers. That reach matters because it sidesteps blockers entirely, and because a ping that lands on a player counts as damage dealt, feeding the first-damage trigger from a source that never had to attack. The interplay is what gives the plane teeth: counters make combat damage climb turn over turn, while chaos manufactures a second, unblockable stream of damage that also grows your board. It rewards a wide, aggressive position without demanding anyone build toward it, which is the register a plane wants to hit: a rules-warping backdrop that changes how a game feels rather than what deck you brought to it.
