Sprouting Thrinax
Removal is supposed to subtract a creature from the board, and this Lizard's whole design is to make subtraction cost the opponent something. A 3/3 for three colored pips is already a fair body, but the death trigger turns every clean answer into a wash: trade it in combat, point a burn spell at it, sacrifice it to your own engine, and three Saprolings stand where one Lizard did. The mana commitment is the price for that resilience. Three colored symbols on a three-drop is a real demand, and the card was built for the kind of greedy multicolor midrange that could meet it. The reward is a creature that punishes the most common forms of interaction by converting them into go-wide fodder, which feeds the sacrifice and token-matters strategies sharing its colors: each Saproling is a body for a convoke cost, sacrifice fuel, an aristocrat trigger, or simply three more attackers. The wrinkle in the design is that the tokens only ever arrive on death, so the card rewards a pilot willing to lose it, and it pays off best in decks already built to turn dead creatures into resources. It is the rare body where the opponent's best line and your own point the same direction.
